New Header

Like a friend said in the comments, I thought the old header was a bit jarring with its underlining. Instead of fixing it, I just though id make a new one.

It's interesting that after switching the header to the right, I still kept the headers square or at least rectangular in shape. Dunno how it occurred to me that I could experiment with different shapes and forms and placement of text. This ones a bit safe but I like how it looks. Maybe ill do something more adventurous later on.

I think this header was partially inspired by penny shaped Daguerreotype photographs. I like how it was the style to set portraits in circular frames, I guess this is still seen as a natural fit considering how people vingette studio portraits in an ellipse around a portrait.

I've been watching this great show on BBC called genius of photography, and thats what got me into daguerreotype. I think you should check it out if you're even partially interested in photography, the production quality is fantastic.

The youtube channel contains all the episodes. I'm on episode 4 now. Episode 3 was really good, if you want to just get your feet wet.

New Header

It's been a while since I've had a new header, so I went ahead and made this one:

How does it look?

New header everything.

This blog needed a overhaul for a while now. I kinda found the old format a little tired and well, old. So I messed around for a while now (under the influence) and I feel like I'll go with this format for a bit. We'll see if this format still works after the Gin wears off.
I also figured out a a pixel width to post pictures in so they come out bigger.

Lovely Barbara is the subject of the current header, Or well her leggings(?) are anyway.

It's been a while since I changed the header. And as you can probably tell, I switched up the layout of the blog a little bit up as well. This new layout lets me post pictures a bit bigger. Im not sure at what size though, and im just going to have to experiment with that. If you have any suggestions, I would really appreciate that (like pixel size etc).

I still come back to these pictures, these were taken ages ago near a windfarm.

New Header

I felt like I've had my last header for a while now and wanted to change things up a bit. Last one was all summer-y with nice saturated film colors and I wanted to make this one a little more fall and desaturated/cold and how much more colder can you get than a dead, stuffed bird right?

New Header

Its been a while since I've had a new header. The source picture is one of the severely light leaked pictures from Staten island.

New Header

So the new header came from this picture.

girl-boy

Im not sure what that Chinese phrase means, but my sister had it up on her wall. I took it down, found a nice, white spot for it and shot it.

New Header

I plan on changing the header of the blog every so often, and explaining the picture behind the last one.
Here is the last one;

This was the background image used
Cloud City

I call this image cloud city, after cloud city from Empire Strikes back. I appreciate modernist architecture and cloud city is one of my all time favs.

The header this week is using the same format of the last header, mainly because I dont have photoshop on my computer. So I made a few headers with the same typography but different background images, in the computer lab before went on a break. I'll get more creative when I get back to school, and get to use the computer labs.

Monolith
I call it monolith, inspired by 2001:A Space Odyssey. I'm a big Kubric buff.
