My good friend Jeff, actually my first friend in college, left Pittsburgh to study the big things that happen when little tiny things hit each other. Ill miss him. Good luck man.

These are medium format shots from one last bike ride together before he left. Will you look at that depth of field/sharpness. I am a bit bummed by the harsh shadows, though. But that comes with this kinda mid day light. Best to avoid this kinda light if you can, F/11 can only do so much.

Bike

A friend who is studying abroad this semester let me have his bike. Now that it's (kinda) warm enough to ride, it opens up a huge range of stuff to go take pictures of.

Birthday films

Jon has been getting into film lately and these shots are from his new project. Im not going to give anything away except it's about Jeff's (blue track jacket) birthday, and a little story about people surprising him with a cake.

It is actually Jeff's birthday today, happy birthday Jeff. Hope you liked your cake.

BBQ

I really dont like bbq sauce. Like, at all. So i made this awesome curry/thel dala sauce ribs which came out HEAVENLY. The american kids who are not used to the wonders of roasted curry powder were thoroughly impressed. To say the least.

On a side note, flames look so much better on film. None of that white balance nonsense
