The picture above is from last fall, in park in Lancaster PA. I think its that time of the season when birds start to migrate. Funny enough, while I was at a friends' holiday home in Donegal PA this weekend (more pictures coming) I saw a bunch of these buggers flying to where ever they fly to during this time.
I think these are Geese. Can you eat Geese? I feel like the bigger the bird gets, the less tasty it is (like turkey, yuk).
ya of course, for english christmases. AND they use the fat from the bird to roast their potatoes..
ReplyDeleteYep I've roasted a goose before. It's all dark meat, and you can make a really nice gravy from it. I'm glad you remembered the right name and not donington...
